Embedded Systems Competition (ESC) 2022

The Brazilian Embedded Systems Competition (ESC) is a competition open to undergraduate and graduate students to develop and present an innovative solution of embedded technology for market applications. The competition provides the opportunity for students to present creative solutions aiming to solve many different problems shared by their community and contribute to the evolution of this segment of embedded computing in Brazil. The focus is the development of Embedded Systems for IoT in different subareas of application.

This year the competition has two possible platform types:
1- Labrador 32
2- Labrador 64

Teams must submit a proposal for an Embedded System Project within the following topics:
• Agriculture / Livestock,
• Smart cars / home / cities,
• Health applications (including proposals aiming at minimizing the impacts of pandemics),
• Industrial Automation,
• Safety / Security,
• Retail,
• Education,
• Accessibility,
• Energy.

The projects must address the following aspects:
• Process simplification
• Cost reduction
• Real Time analysis
• Remote monitoring
• Low energy
• Artificial inteligence

Proposal Submissions: until June 13 until July 04, 2022 via JEMS System.
Proposal selection results: July 15, 2022
Partial Report and video submission: Oct 24, 2022 via JEMS.
Phase 2 result: Oct 31, 2022
Project Final Report submission: Until Nov 18, 2022 via JEMS.
Presentation during SBESC Event: Nov 21-24, 2022
