Call for Workshops - SBESC 2024

 

Workshops should provide forums for researchers and professionals to engage in discussions on specific topics or research areas critical to the Embedded and Real-Time Operating Systems community. Areas of interest include, but are not limited to:

Applications in Automotive, Avionics, and Aerospace; Control and Automation; Design Methodologies, Languages, and Tools; Distributed Systems; Electronic System Level Synthesis and Co-design; Fault Tolerance and Dependability; Formal Methods and Verification; Internet of Things, Mobile, and Ubiquitous Computing; Multiprocessor, Multicore, and Manycore Systems; Networking and Communication Protocols; Performance Evaluation and Optimization; Power, Energy, and Thermal Aware Systems; Quality of Service and Resource Management; Run-time Support Systems including Virtualization, Storage, and File Systems; Scheduling and Schedulability Analysis; Security; Verification, Validation, and Test of Systems; Wireless Sensor Networks; Worst-Case Execution Time Analysis.


Organizers may propose workshops in various formats, such as invited talks, panel discussions, presentations of ongoing work, fully peer-reviewed papers, or a mix of them. Workshops can be planned for either a half-day or a full-day schedule; in English or Portuguese.


The peer-reviewed accepted papers will be available online in the SBC-SOL digital library.

 

Important Dates

Deadline for Workshop Proposals: June 17th, June 28th, 2024.

Notifications of Acceptance: July 1st, 2024.

 

Submission Requirements

Workshop proposals must be submitted in PDF format and should include:

Name, acronym, and length (expected hours); 

A short description of the workshop (~half page);

A list of topics of interest;

The names, affiliations, and a short bio (5-10 lines) of the workshop organizers;

A description of the expected structure of the workshop (contributed papers, invited talks, panels, posters, or any other kind of scientific/technical activity);

(The workshop chair may ask for more info during the evaluation process)
