SBESC 2023 will be held at Prédio Centenário da Escola de Engenharia: The Porto Alegre School of Engineering was founded in 1896, one of the first higher education institutions in Rio Grande do Sul. Originally an autonomous school, from 1934 it became the University of Porto Alegre, which after federalization in 1951 became to be called UFRGS. The School's main building, currently known as the Centenary building of the UFRGS School of Engineering, was inaugurated in 1900, and was the first to occupy the area that we now know as the UFRGS Center Campus.
