Instructions for Authors
Paper Submission
For paper submission information, please check the Call for Papers and SBC's Code of Ethics.
Publication Policy
At least one author of each accepted paper must be registered in the symposium by the camera-ready deadline of October 1st, 2023 for the paper to be included in the Proceedings. An author surcharge applies to registrations in the student categories. SBESC, SBC, and IEEE also enforce a strict no-show policy, which requires that at least one author attend the conference and present the paper in order to have it published in the Proceedings.
Camera-Ready Submission
Full papers written in English (up to 6 pages) will be published by IEEE and indexed at IEEE Xplore by CPS.
Full papers written in Portuguese or Spanish (up to 6 pages) and work-in-progress papers (up to 4 pages) will be published by SBC in the SBC Open Library. All published papers will be assigned a DOI and compiled in one of the two parts of the Proceedings.
Work in Progress is a category determined by the Program Chairs after the review process. Submit your manuscript to SBESC with up to 6 pages, following the dates and instructions in Call for Papers and, in case the manuscript is accepted as Work in Progress, the final version must be reduced to up to 4 pages.
While preparing the final version of your manuscript, please take the reviewer's scores and remarks into consideration. Also, ensure the manuscript is strictly formatted according to the IEEE two-columns conference template and respect the page limit of each category. Submit it via the SBC's submission system before October 1st, 2023.
Copyright Transfer
Authors of papers that will be published by IEEE in the IEEE Xplore received copyright processing instructions by email.
For papers that will be published by SBC in the SBC Open Library, two additional files must be submitted along with the camera-ready:
- A signed copyright transfer form;
- A list of references in plain text format, with one reference per line.
