Embedded Systems Track

The Embedded Systems Track of the Brazilian Symposium on Computing Systems Engineering (SBESC 2014) was created with the goal of becoming a forum for discussion and joint work among researchers and practitioners working in the field of embedded systems.

This track is an evolution of the Brazilian Workshop on Embedded Systems (WSE) created on 2010. Since then, it follows on the success of four previous editions in Niterói (2013), Natal (2012), Florianópolis (2011), and Gramado (2010). SBESC 2014 will continue the tradition of fostering cross-community scientific excellence and establishing strong links between research and industry. Hence, the purpose of the Embedded System Track is bringing together researchers and practitioners with an interest in advancing the state-of-the-art and the state-of-practice in this emerging field, with the hope of fostering new ideas, collaborations and technologies.

We invite contributions that present advances in the field of embedded computing, including software, hardware, and their integrated design. Papers describing innovative industrial applications and solutions in this field are also encouraged. Papers can be of a theoretical, application-oriented, standards-driving, innovative design or experimental nature, and should represent technological or scientific advances supported by results and experimental data, indicating the constributions to the state-of-the-art and the state-of-practice.

In addition, as it happened in the previous editions, the best papers submitted in English will be recommend for publication in a distinguished international journal. At the moment, we are still negotiating a special edition in such a journal. Updated information is going to be published as soon as possible.
